| You may make an additional donation to the Lake Improvement Fund. This fund is separate from membership revenue which covers only operating expenses. This is a voluntary "rainy day" or insurance fund to protect our lake from expensive unanticipated negative occurrences. A classic example is milfoil's control costs which involve thousands of dollars. You may also donate to The Lake Host Program. A Challenge Grant has been established by David and Mary Moore which matches contributions up to $5,000 to The Lake Host Fund. Fund contributions by everyone are important. This is a way for those unable to serve as volunteers to financially help protect our lake. The PLA is a 501 3C Public Charity and contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law. |
