" Slow Poke" Sails Again!    
There is a beautiful blue & white Javelin sail boat named "Slow Poke" on the lake. The boat was rescued from a boat shelter in Massachusetts, refurbished, outfitted, then put up for sale. See the August 2010 issue of the Ponderings for pictures.

The refurbishment work on the boat was done by Bob Blanchard & Mike Beaudoin. Look for "Slow Poke" riding the wind around the lake. I think you will agree that Bob & Mike did an incredible job.

Bob & Mike donated all of the profit they derived from their work to the PLPA.  Thank you to the Blanchards and the Beaudoins.

We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family of Dolores Bushnell who passed away at her beloved home on Pleasant Lake October 22, 2011.  She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.

                  New Name & Logo
In the past few years, we've added a website and started sending the Ponderings via email to our "green members".  Our newest update is our name -Pleasant Lake Preservation Association - which should better explain our goals and priorities as a group.  Note our unique new logo that was designed specifically for us and should identify the PLPA at a glance.  The blue represents our crystal clear waters and the strong silhouetted loon reflects the strength in all of us working together to keep this lake a treasure.  
   
PLPA Store Opens
Yes...we have our very own store!  Items for sale include shirts, hats, mugs, water bottles, and more.  10% of all sales will be sent to the PLPA.  Follow the Store link on the home page and have fun browsing and shopping!

 Historical Pleasant Lake Calendar  
Thanks to Andy Partridge, the PLPA has an historical, 2012 Pleasant Lake calendar for sale.  It may be purchased at the annual meeting but can also be ordered by contacting Andy.  The calendar is a wonderful way to share photos from years gone by on our beautiful lake.
