The Art of Preservation! House Portraits for a Cause Join us in keeping Pleasant Lake free of noxious weeds and other invasive species by commissioning a work of art. NH artist, Daniel Lynch, is offering original house portraits in charcoal and oil. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the PLA. ► Learn more about the artist by visiting www.lynchfineart.com ►Download brochure & order form Litter Bugs Do Exist! Rain or shine, we can count on "litter bugs" visiting our lake and leaving their trash behind. Special thanks to all of the lake residents who routinely pick up litter in an effort to keep our lake beautiful and clean!
Stronger in Numbers! Don't forget to join the PLA in 2009. Our dues-year runs from July 2009 to June 2010. Last year we had an outstanding response with 132 paid members! Send your $25 dues to your District Director or PLA treasurer at PO Box 53, Deerfield NH 03037. | Lake Host Challenge Grant David and Mary Moore, longtime lake residents, have generously established a Challenge Grant for the Lake Host Program. Protect Our Loons
Our juvenile loons and adults have left Pleasant Lake for new adventures as winter approaches. Make sure you read Andy Partridge's article in the August Ponderings, "A Loon-y Summer". Andy, tells the story of his experiences as our resident loon protector this past summer. We await the return of our loons in spring. Meanwhile, we can share our photos. Email your photos of our loons to the PLA webmaster to be posted for all to enjoy!
